Sinking history


The old Post Office in Wiseman, Alaska is a sinking piece of history. The townsfolk help to keep the old cabin decent by shaving off the doorway so it will not buckle. Not sure what they will do when it sinks down to the windows.

I am finally finished with this little painting and am pretty happy with it. Mostly palette knife work. It was so rainy the days we were in Wiseman last summer!

I bet this painting would look good with a frame around it hanging in the new Post Office in Wiseman! It's just beautiful! Love the green in the windows.
