Oil Paint Sticks!

My sketch for today. Just got a set of oil paint sticks and am trying them out. This is a sketch on black sand paper, which the oil stick likes!

    Terri, I love the energy in this…great use of impasto and colour. Which brand of oil sticks are you using? Do you use turps or a medium with these?

    I tried before but I didn't like them, I found them a bit hard.

    Thanks for the comments, Maggie and Mariela! The oil sticks are Shiva (Richeson) with no medium, just straight from the stick. Mariela, these are called sticks and are really nice and soft.
